Want to work at the Tutoring Centers?

Complete the following to be considered for a position:

  • Fill out ASU Job Application on ASU Student Employment Job Search.
  • List undergraduate courses able to support AND working availability in cover letter.
  • Polytechnic majors must upload a letter of recommendation from an academic advisor or faculty member.

Qualification requirements

  • A cover letter including five undergraduate courses you are able to support with your availability to work.
  • Documentation that shows you have a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher and at least a B+ in the courses you wish to tutor. Courses must be taken at ASU or there must be documentation (unofficial transcripts) showing that the courses taken at their previous institution are comparable to the ASU courses you wish to tutor.
  • Availability to work on campus between 8 and 20 hours per week
  • You must have no previous AIP violations.
  • You must be available to attend all mandatory trainings during Fall and Spring semesters.
  • Prior tutoring and/or mentoring experience
  • You must have earned 24 or more credit hours. (sophomore status or higher)
  • Strong verbal communication
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Completion of undergraduate coursework at ASU is preferred.
  • A cover letter including courses you are able to support
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, B+ or better required in core math and engineering courses. Grades will be checked before hire and at semester completion.
  • Availability to work between 5 and 15 hours per week (Monday through Friday 10am-8pm)
  • You must have no previous AIP violations.
  • You must be available to attend all mandatory trainings during Fall and Spring semesters.
  • You must have earned 24 or more credit hours. (sophomore or junior status)
  • Strong verbal communication
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Completion of undergraduate coursework at ASU is preferred.
  • This position requires a high degree of accuracy, dependability, responsibility, initiative, and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, faculty, visitors, and vendors
  • Experience with event development and support
  • Familiarity with data tracking and/or processing data, in addition to creation of charts and tables
  • proficiency in Word and Excel
